Lenka, yes, I feel that it helps to balance the guilt when we have special gifts to bring to raising our children. Whatever we can do to make parenting special for us and our child is so worth it now and in the long run. I know exactly what you mean, Bridget. We just hit our one month since my surgery and are really hitting overload. I guess 1 month must be some sort of mile marker for "going crazy" and "losing it". I think we were able to grasp reality a bit this weekend and come together to find some balance. I hope it lasts a while. Even if we have to go through a wind down weekend once a month until my precautions are loosened. Take care both of you! Blessings and healing to you both, Lenka and Bridget.Dana Asmara Morningstar-Martonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11825644957086048495noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8604122574877461469.post-42986431559763183282012-06-17T21:19:29.043-04:002012-06-17T21:19:29.043-04:00Chronic illnesses never make anything easy, especi...Chronic illnesses never make anything easy, especially raising a child. I hope today is a good day for all of you. Believe it or not, 3 months will be a drop in the bucket compared to how long that hip will allow you to chase Mick. Though I completely relate to the "burden" overload. We are 4 weeks out and are about to hit that phase...Bridgetnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8604122574877461469.post-49183482836707766122012-06-17T16:01:17.601-04:002012-06-17T16:01:17.601-04:00The ups and downs (big downs) of being a mom with ...The ups and downs (big downs) of being a mom with a chronic illness are so rewarding and challenging. I like how you share that our challenges affect everyone in the family, not just us. I do try to balance the guilt with gifts that I bring to child-raising. I work less, I sit with them more. I am on the couch with them now instead of doing chores :).

I hope today is a good day all around!
:) LenkaLenkahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03832791375861465119noreply@blogger.com
